At 1,300m (4,300ft) deep, the Tara River Canyon is the deepest canyon in Europe and is second-deepest in the world next to the Grand Canyon in the United States.
Our tour will begin in Kotor, one of the most beautiful towns in Montenegro. We will drive you in a comfortable vehicle with a professional tour driver. We will take a 3-hour long scenic ride through the mountains of Montenegro on the way to Šćepan Polje where the rafting camp is located.
We will visit the most attractive part of the canyon from the starting place Šćepan Polje, abundant river rapids (over 50), wild tributaries, sparkling waterfalls, lush variety forests whose trees are old after a few hundred years high and up to 50 m.
Since 1977, Tara River has had the status of a biosphere reserve (MAB) and was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Starting at 6 AM, a 3 hours long scenic ride through the mountains of Montenegro on the way to Šćepan Polje where the rafting camp is located.
17 km drive from rafting camp to the starting point.
